Soft Wiffle Balls

This is a bag of 12 wiffle-type balls that are made of a semi-hard plastic. They throw like a wiffle ball but if you get hit with one it won't hurt as badly. Great for kids.

Good for batting practice in limited area

I bought these for my grandkids to primarily practice baseball/batting in our yard or in a field when I have to go gather the balls back up. A good solid hit can go about 30 yards in the air, not too far to chase but a good distance to feel/sound like a solid hit. . . most just go about 25 yards. Price for a bag of 12 is reasonable. The blue and black colors are easy to spot on the grass. The balls are a good weight for a hollow plastic practice ball but would not be well-suited for pitching practice. The size of these balls are equivalent to a regulation baseball (see picture). Being light and hollow there’s not much chance of serious injury from getting hit with the ball. They’d be good for recreational ball games and for batting practice, especially when space is limited. It does take a little getting used to throwing/pitching the balls to go where you want, but I was able to quickly figure out how best to throw them across the strike zone. No instructions, brochure or contact/customer service/warranty info came with the set which accounts for deducting 1 star.
